During my recent visit to Eckbergerhof, I was welcomed into a charming haven located on the tranquil outskirts of Gamlitz. The luscious views of the garden and vineyards were complemented by the rich history encapsulated within the walls of this centuries-old establishment. We indulged in delightful meals at the restaurant, with an enjoyable breakfast spread each morning that perfectly prepared us for a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. The serene outdoor swimming pool and complimentary access to the sauna provided a refreshing retreat after a day of cycling and hiking with friends, allowing us to unwind and connect amid nature. Each room was uniquely styled, featuring a private bathroom and a flat-screen TV, ensuring that our stay was as comfortable as it was delightful. Eckbergerhof truly feels like a hidden gem, welcoming visitors to engage with not just the local wine culture through on-site tastings but also giving them access to the character-filled Buschenschank wine taverns nearby. It's a spot I wholeheartedly recommend to fellow enthusiasts seeking a blend of relaxation, culture, and history.
